Home organization can be so overwhelming. My hope is that if we break it down into little baby steps we can conquer the clutter and chaos monsters. Don’t give up! This will require endurance but we can do it!
Today, we are in my dining room again. I know what you are thinking…how can someone’s dining room have so much stuff? Well, I have tried over the last 10 years to compensate for our lack of space by putting “stuff” in every nook and cranny. So, if your dining room is finished grab another area that needs attention. Really, what I am focusing on with my dining room is all of our homeschool things. Books, binders, supplies…you name it!
I am seriously trying to downsize on our homeschooling things but it is very difficult as I have ages ranging from almost 5 to 14. However, our complex will be going through a remodel this year and I will have to move everything out. With that bit of info , I am trying to be ruthless and simplify to save me the time and trouble later.
Bookshelves is the assignment for today. I am still trying to figure out what to do with all my books. Being a teacher, by trade books are definitely my downfall but I am going to try to be ruthless!
I am hoping to get rid of 2 of the book shelves. My plan of attack is to go through every book and if it does not go with our current curriculum I will try to pry my hands off of it :).
Maybe I will have a big book sale to re-coup some of the money I have spent on books.
Do you have any experience at selling books? What do you recommend? Amazon, ebay, buy back sites? Would love to hear your experience on these!
