Welcome to Day 14 of our 30 Days of Thanksgiving!
Wow this month has gone by incredibly fast! I was hoping that the 30 Days of Thanksgiving would help it slow down a bit so I could enjoy it more! But instead it seems like it has picked up speed and I can’t seem to catch it. Does anyone else feel like this?
I am thankful today for my mom! Her birthday was actually yesterday, but Sundays are a bit on the crazy side for us. My mom is my closest friend other than my husband. She is the one that I call when things go wrong or there is exciting news to tell. She is the one that checks on us when we are sick, helps us when we are crazy busy, and picks up the pieces when I drop the balls I am juggling.
I know most of you know that we just went through a total remodel at the apartments we manage. Instead of opting for staying in a hotel (um that would lead me to total insanity), we stayed in the basement of my mom and dad’s. What a blessing! I am so thankful for the two of them. But I have to say one of my favorite parts was getting up every morning and visiting and hanging out with my mom. It was great! I treasure those times!
It is pretty awesome that most everything I am involved in my mom is too. All the bible study days, all the leader’s meetings, all the retreat, and all the road trips are with my mom! During the summer, my favorite place to camp…yep you guessed it with my mom and dad!
It is so nice to have my mom as one of my closest friends! I love you mom! Happy Birthday!
