Welcome to the 30 Days of Thanksgiving! Wow, today has been a very long day. Lately, I have been getting up at 4 in the morning (although I am pretty sure 4am is still considered night 🙂 ) I do not have babies anymore, I had no alarm set, I just woke up and was ready to roll. Strange.
I think God knew I needed extra time today. We have had so much going on with our remodel that it does not leave a lot of time for our normal routines. As a matter of fact, I am not sure we even have anything that could be remotely called normal.
In our life right now normal is just a setting on the dryer 😉 , In which I do not even have a dryer right now as our laundry room is tore apart being re-done and to top it off….my office is smack dab in the middle of my apartment. (Although, this may be a good thing after I settle in).
I am so thankful for God’s mercy! Psalm 106: 1 -” Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever.”
Lamentations 3:22-23- “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
I am pretty sure without God’s daily dose of mercy, I would certainly be consumed! There are days that I look back on my day and just praise and thank Him for getting me through.
Do you ever feel like that or am I the only one? No matter the differences in our routines or seasons, I am sure there are overwhelming days when you are pretty sure it is never going to end. Lately, I have been praying daily that He would order my steps so that I will walk in His truth and His righteousness. I know my life is crazy right now so I just expect hiccups along the way, but when I bathe my day in prayer the crazy is still there, but it certainly goes smoother with a much better attitude too.
Thank you Lord for your mercies today! Thank you that they are new every morning and they endure forever! They never stop! Thank you for your faithfulness despite my lack of faithfulness. Thank you that you go before me, you go with me, and you are my rear guard!
Have you thanked Him for His mercy today?
