I know we probably all know these, but it is time for a good reminder. I think I might post them on my fridge :). Here are 5 reasons you MUST have a meal plan.
- Saves time.
- Saves money. Much easier to stay within a budget.
- Curbs stress and anxiety as the
witchingdinner hour approaches.
- Promotes Healthy eating choices and better nutrition
- Happy Homes, Happy Husband, Happy children which leads to A VERY HAPPY Mama! 🙂
Although meal planning is a fairly easy concept, many of us struggle in this area of our life. Well, at least I do and I know I can’t possibly be the only one. But I do believe, meal planning is definitely a stewardship issue simply because it effects so many areas of our life (time, money, health, and relationships to name a few).
I am finding that execution really just requires preparation and self discipline…ouch! And we all know that self discipline is simply making ourselves do something we do not want to.
I want to be this woman….”She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.” Proverbs 31:13-15
I want to have willing hands! But I also want to have a good attitude and do a great job for my family. I want to be well stocked, prepared and get’r done! But all of that requires thinking ahead, thus the menu plan!
We can do this! Do you have any other great reasons to menu plan?
