I did my normal housework morning routine with laundry and dishes (even worked out). But where I really noticed the difference was in the late afternoon. I was able to work on my blog and with the kids on their school work in the morning and then run errands most of the afternoon. Usually this completely wipes me out, but not today. I actually came home and made dinner instead of catching a quick power nap beforehand.
After dinner is usually a lost cause for me, but I was able to listen to 2 blogging webinars and work on my blog until 10pm. This is very out of the ordinary for me. I am pretty well checked out by 8 o’clock in the evening. After looking at the clock a couple minutes after 10 I decided I better head to bed or I would pay the next morning.
To my surprise, I felt good when I popped out of bed this morning (which technically is the morning after day 2). I slept great, but I woke up an hour earlier than usual. Which that would not be so bad except I already get up at 5am. I make fun of people who get up any earlier than that because I firmly believe it is still night time 🙂 .
Instead of getting up (like I probably should have) I laid in bed and just went through my check list for the day. When it got closer to five I got up and hit the floor running! The morning is off to a great start! Already posted a blog post and am getting ready for the busy weekend ahead.
Interested to see what this weekend holds. I am headed to a Leader’s retreat fo my Bible study and I am normally totally wiped out and it takes a couple days to re-coup. We shall see…..
