Summer is coming to close and soon the kids will be back in school and the smell of fall will be in the air. Here in North Idaho we are anxiously awaiting the smell of fall as we are surrounded by wildfires that are burning out of control that are leaving our air quality in a very unhealthy state. They have put out advisories to stay indoors so our DO SUMMER BIG CHALLENGE has had some hiccups.
This is our last week and I have been very pleased with the way the summer played out. We did
so many fun things this summer but most of all, I just really enjoyed the time I spent with my children. Although, not everything I planned went as I had planned, but memories were made nonetheless. Lots of mishaps that will not be forgotten.
For the last activity for the DO SUMMER BIG CHALLENGE, we are spending the night out under the stars. If you have a safe backyard, throw out the sleeping bags and enjoy the evening sky. We are digging out the air mattresses and sleeping bags from the camping gear and making this our last hoo-rah! We will have to wait a couple weeks for the air quality to get back to normal but I have waited all summer to do this with the kids and I can’t wait! I remember doing this as a child myself.
We will be displaced from out home in about two weeks and we will be staying with my mom and dad and they have the perfect backyard for our little adventure. I am thinking an outdoor movie with popcorn and goodies to top it off! The perfect end of season party to finish up an awesome summer of adventures and fun!
I hope your summer was fun and full of adventure!
