DO SUMMER BIG CHALLENGE~ Week 5~ Join us on making great summertime memories!
WOW! Things have been so hot in North Idaho. I have to admit it has been a challenge to make myself go outside. We are not used to 90 degree weather for an extended period of time, let alone 100 degrees. We usually have 2-3 weeks of hot in July following a very rainy and wet June. This year I cannot even tell you the last time we had rain and we have had several weeks of 90 plus heat. So, needless to say, we are not really up for exerting a whole lot of energy in this heat, unless it involves water!
This week for our DO SUMMER BIG CHALLENGE, let’s pack up the picnic basket grab swim suits and head to a local splash pad. I love the splash pads! I don’t have to keep as close of an eye on my little ones for fear of drowning! The splash pad we go to has lots of shade, a jungle gym, basketball court, and even a circuit training course. It works for my older kids and younger. The only downfall in my opinion is the sandbox. Sand and wet clothes just don’t mix, if you know what I mean. But that is a price I am willing to pay!
For all my local peeps, I love the Liberty Lake Splash pad at Pavilion Park. There is lots of shade and not an over abundance of people. There are many others around, but I do not believe there are any in Post Falls. Pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it!
Blessings! Stay Cool!
