Now, that we have kind of re-cooped from our DO SUMMER BIG CHALLENGE adventure on Saturday. You can read about our adventure here http://thejourneyofasteward.com/do-summer-big-challenge-reality.html. I think we might take it easy this week and do something that that my kids have been pestering me to do. We have been busy doing so many others things that I have pushed it to the back burner, but with the long and exhausting memory maker on Saturday, I think I need something easy.
This week’s DO SUMMER BIG CHALLENGE activity is to check out your local library. I just found out that a friend of mine had never been to our local library. I was amazed. I guess I take this valuable resource for granted.
I know some of you have toddler age children and that is great! This is a great time to introduce your child to the library. They have many things for kids of all ages. Our library here even has computers set up for the little ones. It is fabulous! If you have multiple children, it even more fabulous as all of your kids can be on computers at the same time with no fighting.
Most libraries also have summer reading programs, special events, and different aged read alouds. My recommendation is to check out the library schedule and find something that fits your schedule or child interests. Better yet just go to find some great books to read!
Enjoy your week!
