Just Start

January 1, 2019 by admin

This year has brought many new adventures and new changes. 2018 brought highs, lows, and lots of in-betweens.

Just Start 2019

It’s hard to believe that the year has gone by so quickly. It feels like last month we were facing 2018 square in the face only to now look back at it in the rear view mirror.

Today brings a new beginning, a fresh start. I have a mental list of things that I want to change, things I want to achieve, and people I want to be present with. The only way to make these things happen is to be intentional on the every day little things to get the daily tasks out of the way and focus on the things that matter.

But there is one key to the whole thing….JUST START!

The reality is, that is the hardest part. Sometimes, life is overwhelming. We have a long to do list and a lot of hats to wear. But we will be in the same place for 2020 if we do not JUST START. My downfall is I expect to have my systems in place and ready to roll before I start or shall I say a false start.

This year, my goal is to work within my personality and my circumstances to make long lasting changes. When I did not work full time, I had the time to spend extra time setting up systems, planning my days, weeks, etc., and taking extra time where I needed it. Now, I am trying to squeeze out every minute I can and quite honestly do not have the energy to accomplish all those things after a long days work. This year my goal is automation. Slowly start systems that will run themselves.

This year I am struggling to set New Year’s Resolutions. I feel like there is so much to work on, I do not know where to start. Maybe deep down you feel that way too. But the secret… JUST START! Something, anything, but not everything  🙂 . Start small and build simple daily disciplines to make slow and steady progress.

So here is my JUST START for today…writing a blog post. All year I have had this voice telling me to write and here I am waving goodbye to 2018 with I think 2 blog posts all year.

So here is to the START! A new year! A new journey!
