My first month of my own budget challenge is over and done with, however, I did find some floater receipts that still need to be applied before I can move on to February. Living on a $500 food budget has been a very good lesson to all of my family on wants versus needs. It has been tricky at times and frustrating at times, but in the end I think it will pay off. I do know that the accountability on my blog has played a huge part in my success. So for that I thank you all for reading my posts and being my “accountability partners”
Here are the last couple receipts I found in my purse:
Super 1- cheese and crackers
Walmart- Super bowl snacks…(not divulging 🙂 ok…we had Doritos, nachos, sundaes, and banana splits.
Costco- Cereal, bacon bits, sour cream, tortillas
Family Foods- ice cream & tortillas
Total of receipts: $103.48
January Total Spent: $473.28
Total Out of Pocket (I had 2 gift cards given to me as a blessing): $323.28
Whoo Hoo that is pretty exciting to me! We kept it under $500 for 1 month. Hopefully, we can keep it up!
