Do Summer BIG Challenge
Here we are already well into our summer. Here in North Idaho we have had fairly cool temperatures for the last couple days and it is suppose to stay this way for about another week.
My kids have had a much different summer than most. With all of them getting older, we have allowed them to play outside without our direct supervision. This has been very difficult as we live on one of the busiest streets in our city and we never know who is in and out of here. But I can tell you they are loving it!
They have also enjoyed walking to the local school everyday for breakfast and lunch. They look forward to school lunches all year. It is very much a novelty, at least for the first several weeks.
This week’s Do Summer Big Challenge was a bit of a challenge to come up with. We have been busy getting in all of our camping, preparing for a month of kids in and out for Bible Camp, and add work/business in there. It has been easy to lose track of time rather quickly.
So let’s do this!
Set up a park visiting circuit. I did this one day with my kids this spring and they loved it. We visited, like, five parks one afternoon and my kids still talk about it.
If you are a planner, plan out your route. Try to visit parks that offer something different.
For you”fly by the seat of your pants” people….just go for it!
Or even better, let your kids plan it!
Hope you have a great Do Summer BIG Challenge!
Blessings to you this week!
