We are already half way through week 9 of the Home Organization Overhaul. The days just keep clipping by. I want to really encourage you, today, to stay the course. I know there are days when life happens and we can get off task, but don’t quit! Just pick up on the next day. Remember, home organization is a life long process. I do not think we ever truly “arrive”. We just keep on! My week has been so crazy, and there are tasks that I have missed. Although, I sometimes feel like quitting and giving up, I press on. Remember your purpose is your family. They are worth it!
Today, we are still in kid’s bedroom number 2 and we are tackling their dresser. I am realizing that my kids have way too many clothes. They really only wear about half of them. Here are some great questions to ask yourself:
Are the clothes:
- too worn
- too stained
- too big
- too small
- do they wear them?
- do you like them? do you like them?
- are they modest?
- are they comfortable?
Grab your put away, throw away, and give away boxes and lets get to work. Go through every piece of clothing your children have and make a decision whether to keep or get rid of.
I would encourage you to get your children involved in this process if they are older. It can truly be a great training time and a time to get to know your older kids likes and dislikes.
I hope your day goes well. Blessings to you and your family!
